MBZ V8 Missing at idle

Looking for a little modern advice in my engine. My high mileage 4.3L V8 is missing a little. There are no codes and no Check Engine Light. The car has had all regular maintenance. I don;t know if the plug wires have ever been changed, and I'm wondering if this is good place to start considering the lack of a CEL. The engine runs strong and has no other problems - perhaps the mpg has gone down a tad, but that's about it.

Any thoughts?

It's probably in the last place you left it.

Coil pack maybe? Those usually throw a code though. I agree with the poster above, hit benzworld or mbworld.org up and see if anyone has had the same problem.

Missing?
Well it didn't just get up and walk away. Where was the last place you saw it?
Just keep looking it'll turn up. You'll probably find it in the last place you look.

Sorry, today is my friday and I'm 1/2 hour from beer thirty.

There is a service bulletin ( I don't have the number right here) indicating that a miss like you describe can be caused by a chaffed wire in the fuel injector harness. Typical in higher mileage V8, starts mild and grows worse over time. Search MB service bulletins.
