It's Saturday night, what are you doing?

It's a rainy Saturday night here in Lexington, and following the Cats loss to Mississippi State today, the town is pretty quiet. Being a college campus, there are supposed to be some Halloween parties tonight, but I had to take over DD duties, leaving me with not a whole lot to do. So, right now, I'm sitting in my dorm room, drinking (more) Mountain Dew, writing some code and surfing PPOT. I'm contemplating cleaning my room, but it's a such a big endeavor I'm getting discouraged before I even start. Or maybe I really just don't want to do it.

So, Pelicans, what are you doing on this Saturday night?

I'm going to see a group called MSTRKRFT tonight in SF. I think it's some electronic dance music. I'll check them out online in a sec. But yep, that is what I'm doing.

After a week of fretting about the wildfires out here, I'm happy to veg. Its sprinkling, which should help the fires. I had about 30 feet of wooden fence blow down in the winds. I thought about replacing it, but got lazy and lifted it back up and screwed it back into place. It'll probably blow down again when the winds come back.

Hang out with my 2 middle kids. The oldest is out on a date and my youngest (9 months) is sleeping. Have a couple of glasses of red wine (Zinfandel) relax and later pass out watching TV (Seems the show "How its Made" has some kind of tranquilizing effect on me. Must be the guys voice!) Boring I know, but I wouldn't trade if for anything else in the world.

I cannot believe we ACTUALLY LOST that ball game. What the hell are we doing lately? Bad plays, bad play calls, maybe the team is riding too high on earlier success. There's no reason for a team with a Heismann (sp?) prospect to play like that. Woodson has talent in spades, why all the handoff/running plays? We were watching the game, and calling the Cats plays ahead of time. If we could do it....

Yessir, have a drink for me! I had my share last night. Crazyness...Halloween weekend is the best

Have fun guys, whatever you're doing! It looks like a quiet evening for me as well. Maybe I could use this time to learn something.

Or surf slashdot...

hanging out with my sisters 4 kids.

Had my 944 break down on me tonight so now trying to put together a plan to get it home Sunday.

There is the HUGE haloween party on State Street in Madison going on right now. It is about 80,000 crazy people packed onto 1 street partying kind of like Mardi Gras.

Just got a 98 Jimmy that drives like a pillow, so researching how to stiffen it up on http://www.s10forum.com/forum/index.php. The truck actually has torsion bars that you can set ride height in the inches by "cranking" them. Seems the cheap cure to reduce roll is a set of used, stock bigger F/R sway bars, Bilstein Sports (only $60 each) and cranked down bars. You can also put in cut-down springs, but it looks like a bigger job.

next on the list is to figure out why the 4WD isn't engaging.

and believe it or not, put your package (everyone's really) together Jim.
