GPS vs. Radar
An interesting read; using GPS to get out of a ticket using radar:

The GPS isn't as accurate as a police radar unit for determining/recording speed. It won't be long before an expert testifies to this fact and shuts down that loophole.

radar isn't accurate if used improperly, which I suspect it often is. The old tree going 80mph problem. Training still can't help someone egar to get someone a ticket.

Since it appears judges really don't care how reliable radar is, or whether it is properly used, I don't see where this will get much traction. The rules of evidence in traffic court are a joke anyway. It has been shown in study after study that radar can and will give false readings; adding GPS readings to the evidence against them won't rock the revenue boat all that much.
