Why would you want to?
Seems to me that you would need a new pair of tires after every run.
I could never see the sport in drifting.
Is pretty popular though.
Must be an age thing.

I'm still convinced that it is a 'sport' created by tire salesmen.

According to the ones who drift, it's a way to show car control.

Why do Skidpad, then? It's just a big stupid circle and you end up in the same place you started. How stupid.

Or AX? I don't understand the point in timing each other around a parking lot. The smart money's on the car who simply exits the parking lot straight away.

It obviously requires some skill, and I think it's great if they set up events to measure their skills against each other.

And better that they're at the track drifting than robbin' old ladies or doing this.

There was another video posted on myspace that's been deleted where about 5-10 camaros and mustangs stopped traffic in the middle of the day and did donuts in the middle of the freeway.

According to the thread on the miata board it was in/near "Union City"
"t was 880 south, just after the 238 ramp drops you onto 880."
