My parents recycled my Colnago

They took it to the scrap metal recyclers.

Could they have mistaken it for, say.....trash?

No handlebar or crank to give them a clue?

Ow, that is really a shame, a big shame.

In college, my best friend worked in the school's machine shop. One night we went to the deserted machine shop and carved something from billet aluminium. It was, let's say, something not unlike a water pipe. So I had the coolest one around. When I went to Europe, my cousin held it for me. A year later, I returned and she'd thrown it out. Well, I'd stopped having any need for it anyway.

I'd have B slapped her, maybe she told you she chucked it and was using it for something else?

I haven't asked for any compensation yet. What do you think it was worth? I repainted it myself back in college, and the drivetrain was pretty unique...

Unfortunately I can't find the photo of me riding it, but let me tell you - Steel is Real!

(Roadies, lol...)

(before the repaint)

THIS is a Colnago frame set...

I'm not sure what that is but it's not a Colnago.
