Texas should be spending money on mass transit. This of course will never happen, because people are very reluctant to give up their cars, well trucks, we are talking about Tejas after all

Drive friendly y'all

What I said about the toll road was said jokingly. I'm sure it won't come to that, and it won't have to be bonded either. If you know anything about TxDot you will know that they will do whatever they want when it comes to building a road. The Leg. is pissed off at them right now. They have loop a hole allowing them to do (somewhat) as they please.

I know you're a bright guy lube, your questions are pretty easy if I was up there you would have gotten more satisfying answers. Even if I was bull$hitting.

If I was you I would have asked why they feel a non failing road (C) should warrant a 100% increase in traffic. If the trips are not there now and its not failing its pretty hard to warrant they kind of expenditure. I'm sure you have failing road (F) that needs the funds.

Terry,
I am sure that your presentation would be better received. What fried me was that the presentation never addressed the need, the impact or the benefits. Just here is what is going to happen and how much it was gonna cost.
