Broader tech sector looks like schit too. Time for some stops.

What's the P/E ratio on Google?

I always thought it was overpriced.

+1.

I almost bought at $520 just a short while ago. I said, "No, it's still a little overpriced -- it'd be a short term play hoping for a little more hype to drive the price up, and I hate doing that." Now it's over $700 -- that's gotta be overbought.

Not at the IPO . I agree, now...too rich for me at a current P/E of 57. Even AAPL is getting "up there" (45) and I've taken "some" profits. I wouldn't dare touch RIMM @ 82 either...

If AAPL & GOOG continue to fall, we need to put motion on suicide watch.

He'll just have to get in line with the ARM folks ! Seriously, when you're riding a "rocket", the P/E's are bound to get "out of whack", and 10% corrections aren't a "noose" imo.

Should have bought Lulu lemon and VMWare when they IPO'd this year, excellent return. My wife snagged them before I did.

What the heck is Lulu lemon? I did the EMC route for a nice gain (but not at the IPO of VMWare), but I"m out now. In general, I've slightly reduced my "tech" exposure in recent days. I'm not a "short term trader" at all normally, but with things looking so "rosey" , I've reduced my exposure somewhat with anything that hints of the "subprime mess". Still long with the bulk of 'em though...
