The Most Amazing, Custom, One Of A Kind Porsche 911 Turbo We've Ever Seen!!!

The only thing nice about this car is the VDO tell tail boost gauge. :( I really feel bad that some 930's get this type of a life. I think the ZERO bids says it all.

I love that Eagle Talon front end that's been grafted on. Very classy.

I have to say if I was given that car for free, I would be too embarrassed to even drive it.

dickepoohp 11-11-2007 04:53 PM

Ahhhh, it is SOOOO rewarding to be in the august company of assorted purists who glory in the possession of a 40 year old stocker.

I don't think the issue is that of snobbish purity, like you suggest. Rather, it's one of taste. And while taste is an individual trait, I'd be willing to wager that the vast majority of people--whether they're in the market for an '87 Porsche or not--are not going to like that ugly contraption, regardless of the amount of time, effort, and money put into it (fire extinguisher not withstanding any sort of praise--that part is just a total hack effort). But hey, money can't buy taste, even if it can a Porsche.

FWIW, it's not a 930, either. At least, not from the factory. To bill it as such (in the ad) is a bit misleading, at the very least.

It's like watching Waterworld; just when you're sure it couldn't get any worse....it does.

Clown Car ? Yikes

haycait911 11-11-2007 07:43 PM

1/ he is truly vague and unsure just where this 650 hp is coming from.
'ENGINE MANAGEMENT IS ELECTROMOTIVE TEC 1 FROM WHAT WE CAN SEE'

2/ it makes me think "BATMOBILE" , not sure why.

3/ those taillamps look positively lost in that rear end.

I asked if he would be interested in selling the motor only and what the price would be...

"Same as for the car...a shell doesn't do me much good...my reserve on the car+motor is $45k..."

I told him the shell won't do anyone much good.

No response... http://www.j-k.gr/emos/4/shrug.gif

I do like the running boards/rocker panels, though. They would allow me to station bodyguards on either side (ala Secret Service) while cruising the beach route. You would certainly need help fending off the babes.

masraum 11-11-2007 08:28 PM

I'm with the majority, it's pretty awful, but you have to admit, we have seen much, much worse here. And THIS ONE could be worse.

Actually, that's one part that looks semi-OK, IMO. For comparison:

Kids, Don't do Drugs. This is what drug money will do for you.

haycait911 11-11-2007 09:55 PM

upon reflection, I do kind of like the windshield. kind of speedster-ish. wonder what/where it's from?
the full frontal view reminds me of the 'family truckster' ( ala "Vacation") in a sporty sort-of way.

Having spent a big part of my life in Miami, I have seen plenty of cars like that. You are right. A lot of those "Kustomz" come from South FL. Maybe the majority. I wish I could answer your question. Even though I have the exact answer, as most of my buddies still living there do, I will be politically correct and leave it to you to go down to Miami and figure the out why for yourself. Keep one thing in mind when it comes to South FL tastes. A large number of people still listen to freestyle music over there. A lot of customizers, in fact. So you can see how the cars are just extensions of their wonderful taste. Not a single car is safe from customizing rapists in that region. That burgundy car is actually one of the better ones by South FL standards.

DeutschMark 11-12-2007 09:17 AM

That NACA duct on the running board is utter trickness.

pwd72s 11-12-2007 09:31 AM

It almost makes the mods done to this car look tasteful

I've seen that car before!

Yeah, in my dictionary under "Porsche Porn"

No thanks! Be a nice 3rd car for Rory though? Ha ha

You know there's got to be a kilo of peruvian marching powder settled in the carpets and under the seats!

jason.k911 11-12-2007 10:19 AM

its amazing what you can do with ****loads of cash and no taste

herr_oberst 11-12-2007 10:20 AM

It won't need anything, because it has everything. Including the rare ashtray delete option. Love the little sticker of the 930 on the console. Sort of the finishing touch.

trader220 11-12-2007 10:50 AM

Come on this cars been passed around more times then a 5 dollar crack who... never mind. This cars been listed for sale dozens of times in the last 5 or 6 years on every site there is. Storys of it having a blown motor at a track somewhere and lord only knows how many fools have bought it and then been stuck with it.

I know its a personal taste thing but that car is a JOKE.
