New Winner of the Darwin Award....LMAO

http://www.audiforums.com/m_693578/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#693578

Truely I hope this is a joke, somehow I don't think so.

By the way, safe for work...

I am closing my eyes and shaking my head. I don't believe anyone could be quite THAT stupid. Tell me it isn't so!

I love those types of threads. I don't know what's funnier: the troll who posts the original ridiculous idea, or all the responses to him. Either way, it's good for a ROTFLMAO.

This guy may be on to something and we are all laughing like the record label manager who turned down the Beatles because "guitar bands are out".

Very old.

And it was originally supposed to have been a Honda, not an Audi.

I only have sand from the kids playground, will that work? Good think I have carbs, it should be real easy to port and polish each cylinder.

Famous internet threads:

The Armor-All on the tires.
The B-B's through the Miata engine.
The Corvette with exhaust directly into the intake.
Now sand in an Audi.

It would be fun to start something like this just to stand back and watch the fireworks.

You forgot "Herculiner on my Hootus" and "Star Wars kid".

To be a "Darwin Award" candidate, remember there actually has to be death involved. Or at least sterilization. The Darwin Award is given to the person (or persons) who benefit the gene pool most by creatively rendering themselves unable to breed, usually by killing themselves.

I'm curious. How does armor-all on tires compare to putting sand in your engine? What's the armor-all thread about?

I like the first reply........

Let me get this straight. You sucked sand directly intro your engine and thought it would help anything? Are you f***ing retarted? Why the hell you think that they put air filters on cars? I can't come up with the words.?!?!?!?!

And P.S. your friend dosen't know any thing about hondas either.

I laughed more at the guy who suggested that he "TOE" his car to a repair shop.

I call BS.

Someone post this on the Mythbusters BBS so we can see then try it...and the spectacular failure. I highly doubt they will get to 25 lbs, no matte how slowly they feed it.

Actually, hang around motorcycle forums long enough, and someone will eventually do it...and actually admit to it, as well.

Almost as good as the guy that cleaned his engine by pouring boiling water into it. I think it was on the VW site.

It's old, but it's still funny. This is my all time favorite:

Also I ran out of motor oil so I filled the crank case with fudge. Is this ok? It looks the same. Can I drive the car?

BTW the spelling and grammar on that Audi forum rivals even the worst sportbike or import tuner forum.

Country music really ought to be banned. It leads to inbreeding. And the above-

The Armour All thread is the best thread ever on Pelican Parts. I regularly refer new posters to it when they wonder if it's ok for newbies to ask basic questions.

There is only one question that is so stupid it should not be allowed. That is: is it is ok to Armour All the treads on your tires. The only allowed followup question is, if you do and you have an accident, as long as the tires were new, it's most likely a tire defect that caused the tires to lose grip and not the Armour All, right?
