The thing is, they sell the demos when all stock is depleted. These are spec computers (I have one, not a demo) and there will not be anymore like them down the road. The next model is more money or less goodies. They never seem to be the same. And, I'll bet he got a smokin' deal, so his money won't go far in a trade. Hopefully it can be fixed. Subscribed.

Everything can be fixed - its just a matter of time and money.
You should check out that link I posted for you earlier - it's a forum dedicated to Vista. I have found it extremely helpful. I use Vista everyday. Once I got past the learning curve regarding the security features, all is well. I actually like the OS. Many of my programs actually work better in Vista. Since it is a demo model, I would format the c drive, reinstall the OS, then delete all the unnecessary crap that HP loads on it. Then follow the performance tips explained in the linked forum and tell us how it is working.

Same problem here.
Also Verizon National Broadband. I'm out of my area, roaming. Since I'm out of range of the Verizon Broadband tower, it's slower than dial-up. ![]() Are you in your "coverage area" ? KT
