I have color high res cameras, about the size of can of corn. I have lights on my home as well as lamp post; house is very well lit - it stopped no one. The color goes black and white in the evening but I can see birds and bunnies very clearly at night. Software allows you to save, cut, copy, paste print or do what ever you want.
You can add security many ways. I don't advertise I have cameras. Can you see my cameras? Yes you can but to the passer by, you wouldn't know. Most people are unaware. At night you can't see them; they don't flash lights. There are many ways to add security. An inexpensive way is putting signage up, making people aware that you have surveillance. I did some research before selecting cameras. Until I got cameras, I would get up in the morning to get the newspaper and have anxiety to see if my vehicles or house were vandelized. It's a heck of a way to live in a neighborhood. I got my cameras positioned so that I can also see part of the street too.
