Having some inexpensive (errr...cheap) Shiraz.

Just had two bottles of Beck's while cooking dinner.

Martini (Gordons - olives)
and some chianti along with the pasta .

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

Starting with a decent Chardonnay then moving on to a nice Merlot.

egg nog with bacardi

Corbett Canyon Pinot Grigio, only the best boxed wines for us.

If you like these English ales have you tried 1879 bottle conditioned? Or Fullers ESB? And you guys in CA have access to the ultimate bitter, Rogue Brutal Bitter--n/a in Texas.

All dang good beers, especially if you're likely to drink more than a few and want to stand up later and feel fine in the morning. Lowish alcohol and carbonation make for easy session drinking.

Tonight for me was a maker's and coke though. Wanted a big boy drink--just one.

Not yet. The news claims tomorrow afternoon or early evening. There's a LOT of territory for that storm to cover before it gets here. I wouldn't be surprised if it loses momentum as it closes in on the lake. In that case, you and I may be okay. If not, I don't envy your commute Monday.
