Racing / Rally Stripes - What’s Your Preference?

I guess I am a bit of a purest when it comes down to stripes on a car. Unless it is on the track, cars should not have stripes. I do not like pin strips at all.

If a car is tracked, then the color combo has to be primary with the stripe(s) being white or black. I guess I’m just a conservative.

Here are some examples. Which color scheme, stripe configuration and placement do you prefer?

Decent examples:

Bad Stripes:

2 stripes, close together, in a contrasting color like on the Cobra, black Mustang and red Mustang.

Perhaps I'm a stodgy purist, but I tend to like stripes that fit the lineage of the car. So an American car (or, perhaps an American team campaigning a car of other nationality) should be painted white with blue stripes (or blue with white stripes). While some of the other color combos may be aesthetically OK (and heck, do whatever you want if it's your car), I probably wouldn't use that livery, myself. If you're running livery based upon sponsor colors (like Martini or Gulf) that's OK, too, in my book.
