I learned a a new word thanks to MG--these politial threads can still teach us something...

vociferous |vəˈsifərəs; vō-| adjective (esp. of a person or speech) vehement or clamorous : he was a vociferous opponent of the takeover. DERIVATIVES vociferously adverb vociferousness noun THE RIGHT WORDAn angry crowd might be vociferous, which implies loud and unrestrained shouting or crying out (: a vociferous argument).A happy crowd might be boisterous, which implies noisy exuberance or high-spirited rowdiness (: a boisterous celebration of spring).A crowd that wants something is likely to be clamorous, which suggests an urgent or insistent vociferousness in demanding or protesting something. If people's demands are not met, they might become obstreperous, which means noisy in an unruly and aggressive way, usually in defiance of authority (: an obstreperous child). Strident suggests a harsh, grating loudness that is particularly distressing to the ear (: her strident voice could be heard throughout the building).

I blame the hippies!!!

The underlying tension is that 80% of Dems are Rep at heart.

These people are searching for education to fulfill inner desires of believing in basic Constitutional issues. The consistent headache of social progressives and the birth of neocons morphing into the Rep party confuses them.

Art, I enjoy a good political argument from time to time. Problem is, on here they just get too ridiculously personal and nasty.( even for a war-mongering Conservative such as myself:p. Prime example; look at how Snowmans Christmas thread degraded. Pathetic.
You have trolls on every BBS, but not as bad as I see on here. There are certain people on this board that only show up to stir up $hit on a political ,social, or religious topic. Otherwise you never hear from them. Even as whacked out as FastPat was, he still came up with some other useful and entertaining topics.

I'll argue anything on here, but socio-political, or religion is out.

It's true. I've finally seen the light, mine eyes have been opened! (Praise be to God!) Whatever/whenever the rug-merchant posts on a subject the thread should just ...end. What else could possibly be said that is relevant?

You all will come around ...eventually. Denial is fruitless. Convert NOW!

You, too, will soon be wandering in the desert, without water!

Worse than any of this, I clicked on a thread with my dog sitting next to me & he saw a picture of a dog jumping through a flaming hoop. He is scarred for life.

What kind of logic is this? Geeez!

No vote. It's not a democracy.
Wayne and the moderators set the rules and we post whatever we want as long as we stay within those rules.

You are free to look at or not look at whatever you want, but why did you feel it necessary to tell us? We don't care.

You know if you weren't out there, drinking glogg, eating little meatballs and punishing your keyboard while we sleep - someone would have to invent you. That just occurred to me.

I will never again bother to even look at anything involving politics. Way to much other useful and entertaing topics on here, to waste my time and lower myself to get in vovled in that garbage.
