Had enough of the political threads on here!
 

After viewing a few of the recent political and religious "discussions" on here, I have said "Fuch it!". The political crap on here has spiraled so far downward its disgusting.:( These threads have brought out the worst in people. (myself included). Things have gotten too personal.
I will never again bother to even look at anything involving politics. Way to much other useful and entertaing topics on here, to waste my time and lower myself to get in vovled in that garbage.

However, if they didn't bicker about politics, they'd just start bickering about something else. Such as turbocharger vs. supercharger.

I don't know about anyone else, but I use Pelican OT as my pressure release valve.

It allows me to be far more civil with people in real life--a courtesy I also extend to Pelicans that I meet in real life.

I think they are good topics for discussion, just need to watch out for the "red mist". And that is not a reference to the commie pinkos hanging on this board!:p

I have got a distinct impression all Americans are violently passionate toward political issues - you all seem to love debating politics with a vengance. You sound almost European now, VIN.. :D

If you don't like political threads, just ignore them, that's what I do. I hate it when people turn a non-political thread into a political one...

Actually, the vast majority of Americans are politically apathetic or extremely ignorant of politics. The subset of Americans that are Porsche owners are not at all representative of the whole in that regards.

Even more relevant, some people are most voceferous over things they cannot possibly have any effect on. Politics is one of these things for many of us here. So, posting on political threads is a way of releasing tension for many of us. Nothing changes by our rants, but sometimes it makes us feel better.
