.ru is a java extension that can be used to create java programs.
In this case .ru signifies that it is a Russian website. Example www.google.ru

It's a Russian domain; many are notorious for having malware on board. Plus, the tempting content could drive lots of traffic to any malware that may or may not exist in the source code.
