Random Landed Fish Thread
Lets see your landed fish.
I am sure the coastal members will go big.

Warning some fish were harmed.

Gogar 12-10-2007 12:24 PM

OH NO! Errr.... I mean ONO.

Ate him about an hour later. (The fish, not the little guy.)

gprsh924 12-10-2007 12:26 PM

Not me but one of my best friends. Off of the dock up at the lake with a stick, piece of string, safety pin and a piece of cheese as bait.

My first wade fishing trip in Baffin Bay (South Texas) in the late 80's.

32 1/2" 10+ lbs Speckled Trout. Caught on 12lb test using 1/16th oz. leadhead and tout tail (artificial bait).

AND I ATE IT!!!! This fish would have won me a boat had I entered the STAR tournament by 2+ lbs. Once in a lifetime fish...i've been back dozens of times since then and haven't caught anything even close.

caught 2 mahi mahi and 2 6-7 ft sailfish last month in Costa Rica. bad picture of the sailfish but it's all I've got

You guys have some beautiful fish!!!

Here's one of my son and my wife at "the pond" (that's me in the background wondering why I can't catch one :( ) I think these both went back in.

I'll play :)
Northern Pike...38" Saskatchewan last June.

mattdavis11 12-10-2007 06:31 PM

The Pond? That isn't fishing. You can catch a limit with a bare hook at that place. Anyway, I don't have time to take pictures of my catches. You have to throw them back or throw em in the cooler and get your line back in the water as fast as possible.

That really means I have only caught small fish.:D

motion 12-10-2007 06:33 PM

Nice fish! No fish, but here's an A for effort.

VINMAN 12-11-2007 05:29 AM

Some striper action this past summer.

VINMAN 12-11-2007 05:32 AM

Having some lunch..:D

JeremyD 12-11-2007 09:23 AM

I'll see if I can find a few "notables"
not quite landed (nor did I want to)

JeremyD 12-11-2007 09:29 AM

Best part about fishing in my neck of the woods is you never know what you are going to get...

equality72521 12-11-2007 09:37 AM

Hmmm, she didn't catch any fish but she came home with a red snapper.

Sorry man, I had too. :D

I love Red Snapper!

MT930 12-11-2007 12:57 PM

Some one sent this to me. Apparently they are aggressive eaters!

Interseting story on that one...Walkin along the bank of the little stream and look down and see that spinner picked it up and since i was about to call it a day i decided to try the spinner...First cast out that little baby hit it...Firts brown trout I've caught out of the northern NM streams.
Same stream just a differnt trip.

I don't fish, but my father is a fanatic. Steelhead all over the midwest. 2-3 months in the Keys (Big Pine Key) every year.

MT930 12-11-2007 07:50 PM

Your Dad knows what he is doing, first pic is a Permit (fish) very hard to catch. lots of skill on those.

The girls in waders are not bad ether.

MT930...It is very obvious you know what your doing also...Note the Beer in the holster and the stoggie about to burn your lips!! Only added feature we can't see is the possibility of a big chew of RedMan in your cheek :D (thats how we do it down here!)

Keep the pics rolling in....Great Stuff!

VINMAN 12-13-2007 05:53 AM

Beer? I thought that was a can of bear repellent?

HelmetHead 12-13-2007 06:14 AM

Might be bear repellent, but it sure looks like a long neck. I never even thought about bears as the only ones we got around here have rainbow stickers on their cars.

Cool dog landing the shark.

Thats not me But a very good friend. and yes it's bear spray. But alcohol is often involved. Alaska peninsula heres a couple more. Lots of Bears they are larger and less aggressive than the ones here in MT, they have more food options.

Drdogface 01-14-2008 03:59 PM

Damn, I'm getting pumped for fish camp again.

Rusty Heap 01-15-2008 12:22 PM

I don't mind it at all when my wife outfishes me, as long as she lands a 5 foot long tarpon off of Florida Keys, catch and release my motto........except for the wife!

surflvr911sc 01-15-2008 03:28 PM

My wife caught this 417 lbs! Marlin her first time out, off the coast of Guam.

She landed it two hours after hook-up and spent the whole time in the seat.

Drdogface 01-15-2008 03:33 PM

Holy Marlin! How long was that sucker ? Looks like she's having a great time !! Do you have a wall big enough :D

Nice fish...

surflvr911sc 01-15-2008 03:58 PM

It was 10+ ft long, and she had a great time.

After catching this sucker, she flew (as the pilot) 8 hours to Hawaii; so the fish didn't come home, it was donated to a local school.

targa911S 01-15-2008 05:21 PM

WOW! You win!!
