How do you say "idiot" in Russian?

The difference is in Russia everyone admits it and that's just the way things are. In the U.S. it's sugar-coated and legitimized by procedure and formality. In both cases, the rich get away with whatever they want and the average or poor do not.

I'm not saying it's right (it's not) but given the shortcomings of our system, I wouldn't be so quick to look down my nose at the rest of the world.

+1

It took a little convincing for me to open my eyes, and I now understand what you seem to already know.

I love Russia. I was - in USA, in the Europe. Anywhere I did not see people having such big soul and such clever as Russians. But that it to understand and play by rules Russia - it is necessary to be born here.

Palum6o 12-12-2007 06:04 AM

Big soul?

You're absurd...

Won 12-12-2007 06:05 AM

And obviously to be born to rich parents.

maxim1 12-12-2007 06:06 AM

Typical opinion of the provincial American :) .

To measures of Moscow I am not rich.

masraum 12-12-2007 06:33 AM

All I can say is "Wow" and that's not about the wreck.

}{arlequin 12-12-2007 07:13 AM

"That's nothing to be proud of, Rusty."

You get to hear all kinds of amazing stories on this forum. I guess loony drivers can be found in any city around the world. I remember videos from guys crossing both Paris, London and Stockholm at speeds completely ignoring the safety of others.

I suppose you Americans have your fair share of 'Schumachers' too.

As I read somewhere recently: Romans invented wretched excess, Americans admired it, and Russians perfected it.

Nowhere are the riche more nouveau that in the former Soviet Union, and it would be churlish to begrudge them this.

But I still want to know whether you are a gangster or an oligarch, Maxim.

[QUOTE][Don't worry - i drive like this since 15 years old and all ok( on father's W140 CL500). All my friends crashed their cars in 1-2 years - it's some russian tradition./QUOTE]
It's time to grow up and act like a man, stop being a child before you hurt an innocent person.

Congratulations on your fabulous crashes!

maxim1 12-12-2007 07:58 AM

On yours in Moscow all who there live gangsters or oligarches. For an example - usual apartments, 3 rooms, 100 m2 in Moscow costs 1mln $.
There is such joke:
-why on "Rublevka" (elite village in Moscow) the house costs 10mln $, and on Islands Canarias 2mln?
-Because Canarias Islands far from the Moscow :) .

krichard 12-12-2007 08:08 AM

i smell a troll.....

The Gaijin 12-12-2007 08:11 AM

From Ladas to Jags in only a few years. I can see why these guys want to live it up and drive fast. But please Maxim, drive carefully.
