Good, good... All great things to do.

My wife will be making all of the usual plans for us, but it will be good for me to be able to throw some ideas out like I know what I am talking about.

I'm sure we'll have lunch at Ivar's at some point, and will get downtown. We'll also be spending a lot of time with her family as this is the once a year trip for us.

Keep em coming. I appreciate all of the information.

Call ahead and make sure there are not age/height restrictions on the Boeing tour that will effect your kids. We could not take our daughter when she was a toddler, and I got to enjoy the wonders of the Boeing parking lot for a couple hours while the rest of the family did the tour.

If you want to spend some $$$ and have a beautiful view of the sound, there are two restaurants that would do nicely. The Palisades, which is in the Magnolia neighborhood, and Saltys which is over in West Seattle. Both are going to be $15-25 a plate. The Palisades can be a pain to find if you are not familiar with the area, so if thats in the works, let me know and I can post a detailed map.

Maps are 2 dimensional, and Seattle is 3 dimensional.

Your FIL lives in Seattle and works for Boeing?
I find that odd?

Well it looks like I didn't need to be looking for things to do. Just got the itinerary...

Thursday evening Christmas at FIL
Friday Mukeltio
Friday evening Christmas at MIL
Sat/Sun skiing/biking/possibly Silvertips.
Sunday lights at Christmas
Monday party at Sis in law
Wed rent a rink for a family skate.

I guess there is some time on Tuesday.

We've had a couple of great evenings there, and a couple of other times the bands were appalling. Still, the foodwas always excellent (contemporary Asian) - and the atmosphere unique, so I can highly recommend it. If the music was consistently better, I would say this place would be reason enough for a trip to Seattle.

Sorry - but I cannot remember the name. Maybe one of the locals knows it.
if you were thinking of the crocodile cafe...it just closed this weekend.
many good other clubs to go to. many are down in Pioneer Square, that is where the underground tour is too.

make sure to bring your rain gear. it is supposed to be wet at least thru Xmas and usually this time of year everyday will have some period of rain/shower/mist/dew you will find out why we have as many names for precipitation as the Eskimos have for snow
if you use a bumbershoot we will know you are from out of town
