Computer Video Playback Problem
I have what appears to be a random problem when playing videos on my laptop. The problem is that the videos play in somewhat of a frame-by-frame mode. It varies, but it seems to be about 3 or four frames per second producing a very annoying "stutter" to the video. The audio is fine. This problem appears on some videos that are only 3 MB and then not on others that are 30 MB. Could be only certain file types, but I have not confirmed that. I have run all anti-virus, ad-aware and spy-ware programs and come back clean. Problem still exists.
Any thoughts? Thanks, JA

Possibly a codecs issue???
Try the VLC media player. It seems to be fairly bulletproof. It's free too. See VLC Player. Ian

Any idea how to diagnose a "codecs problem"? I am open to trying VLC...how does it compare to Windows Media Player?
Thanks, JA
