It's sad but I even made myself laugh with that one:D

John, you think that only because the cats *want* you to think that...

If you had videotaped this, you'd have a million hits on youtube.

Oh man, I've got tears from laughing so hard...

Well, I can tell you, cats got Tude!!! This guy (R.I.P.) had more than most. While in college, my sister moved in with me (I had no choice, she just did:mad:) and some of her friends would hang out all the time, well Felix didn't like them and would pick out Matt's duffel bag, climb in, take a big dump(he was a 22lbs cat too) and the same with Matt's work boots, even when my gear bags with my race stuff was right next too them:p. Well, Matt's girlfriend
weighed in just under 400lbs (he was maybe a 125lbs) and had a brat kid. I came back from the races one Friday night, and all these idiots are at my house, watching TV,and the fat pig's kid is hitting my cat, and no one is saying anything to him:mad: Well I tell them
Quote:

If he hits my cat once again, I'm hitting one of you
and they just laughed saying he was only 6 (making an excuse not teaching him right from wrong), so I say it again, but much more sternly and point out that Felix lives here, they don't. She moves her kid away from Felix, and a bit later, the kid craws into the middle of the floor and goes too sleep on his back. At this point, Felix walks over and climbs on the kids chest, so the momma says
Quote:

See, he doesn't mind my son.
At this point, Felix looks at me, then looks around at everyone else, then starts peeing on the kid:eek: They look at me and don't move, after Felix finish marking the lil brat, he jumped up in my lap, and sat & purred:p
They know who they like & dislike

Sell the D70 on ebay and get a D80.

I take it you didn't buy the extended warranty?

BlueSkyJaunte 12-18-2007 04:53 PM

I have four of them that do that. You guy have no idea what cat piss does to the varnish on a piano.

Neilk 12-18-2007 04:59 PM

Byron and Wayne... ROTFL... too funny. I think cats can be more vindictive than a jealous ex-wife.

Never had a problem with this cat. Call her and she would come, better than the Airdale ever would. All she ever wanted was to be close to me.

I used to stay out late playing Poker, early one mornining I came home to find the Garden Hose stretched out and chewed into pieces. I looked at her and said, "Ohhh I get it your pissed off because I left you alone here for so long, I'm sorry." That dog never chewed another hose, one other time after coming home late though she did stretch out the hose to remind me. U just gotta figure out whats buggin em.

Here's my latest rescue.

Peaches, we call her Freaky. She's a Polydactyl, also known as a Hemingway, they have an extra toe that works like a thumb.

She picks up stuff with her hands. Kind of unnerving when she grabs you.

She spent the first 8 years of her life by herself in the utility portion of a basement.

She was fed, stayed warm and dry but got no real love.

Poor thing does not even know how to meow, just makes these weird squeeky/scratchy sounds. Kinda like when you were a kid and got a gnat stuck in the back of your throat.

We've had her a year and she has adapted to the other three cats, my shrieking kids, daylight and being pet.

She's turned into a real nice housemate.

Funny post, but I should point out that blaming a pet (dog or cat) after the fact doesn't actually teach it anything. You need to train it to use the litter box or toilet or whatever you want it to use. Punishing it after the fact only teaches the animal to be afraid of you and to not trust you, it doesn't train it to "go" where you want it to in the least.

There are plenty of good books/references available on this subject.

Yep, I learned the hard way with my kids dog. Still trying to gain her trust.

Heres my daughters cat. It is a polydactyl( six toes). It does nothing but lay in that shoebox, or on my clothes , my side of the bed or on my pillow. If Im reading the newspaper or a magazine, she will plop her a$$ right on top of it until I pay attention to her. I swear she does these things just to piss me off.

She is not trying to piss you off. She has chosen you. She likes you.

Speedo959 12-19-2007 04:14 AM

Found these three in a tree after being dumped out here in the country. Tame as could be and they stay OUTSIDE! Mice problem solved.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1198070070.jpg

Yeah I know, I know. Why, I cant figure out. I'm not a cat person at all, never paid much attention to her, but for some strange reason shes enamored with me.

Same thing here in Ohio, but not a joke;)

We have a few cats presently. They live outside and get the cheapest dry cat food I can find same with our dog, but I would be sad if the dog got run over.....the cats, not so much.

Where I grew up, most folks were of the opinion that animals, with their fur coats, live outside and/or in barns/dog houses..... people OTOH, live in houses.

Luckily my wife feels the same way ;).

If she changes her mind, you can always give her a fur coat for Christmas :)
