That's interesting. The way I heard it GWB arguably won that state in '04. Of course he saved us from having to listen to John Kerry for the next four years, so I'm eternally greatful to whatever forces conspired to bring that to be.

FYI: Primaries are "private" elections, held to any local standards.
In 2003/2004 they had students counting the paper ballots in the Michigan Union. I've heard stories of boxes of votes being thrown into closets going uncounted unless the vote is close. Other stories of the boxes being shipped around and lost in attempts to turn a vote in a certain direction. The good old days of paper were not perfect, but at least there was a corpse.
