Who's catching the upcoming Rush tour?
I saw them six times last summer, the last show being my bachelor party in Toronto. They're doing a second leg now. I just got volunteered for a business trip in Albuquerque on Apr. 28-30th and Rush is playing there on the 29th. I'll be there. Then they're in Phoenix on May 1. I'll be living there then and will catch that show. I'm also seeing them in Denver at Red Rocks on June 5th. Gogar may come to that one with me. Who's in?

If they play the 2112 Overture, I'd go.

Would love to. I'm generally not a fan of big stadium-type shows (I mean, if I have to pay $200 to watch a performance on television, what's the point?) It's been years since I've been to a concert of that type for that reason. . . But maybe it's time to go check it.
I saw them years ago on the "Roll the Bones" tour and it was great though. Maybe I'll go anyway just for the fun of it.

I'd gladly pay $200 for the right venue (Nissan or Merriwether) if they'd just play through the 'Spirit of the Radio' compilation CD. Stadiums just aren't for music lovers however.
Being new to Rush i don't know MOST of that set list and am unsure if i'd like it.

Jeff, I almost always buy tix in the parking lot and have rarely paid more than face value or been farther back than row 10 on the floor. I've been very lucky and will continue to do it this way.

That's actually a good thought. I've had similar luck with buying scalper tickets in recent years, mostly for sporting events. . . I suppose for face value (assuming that's only about $40-$50) I'd go to a big stadium show. Either that or I could see paying $300 or so for good seats close enough where I can actually see the musicians, not just pictures of them on a TV screen.

I've never paid close to $300 for any show and I've had front row for Rush twice and Van Halen once. Best score last year was in Pittsburgh. We paid face value, $110 IIRC, for 7th row center for Rush. Got them from some guys whose friends had paid around $300 for them, though face value was $110. Their other friends couldn't come. Of course, we ended up sitting with them and it turned out my friend knew their friends through business. In Holmdel, NJ we actually got kinda screwed, ended up missing the first two songs and got seats in the first row in front of the sound board. Still not bad, but some loser old fogies behind us were complaining that we stood the entire time. Security guard came over and said he couldn't force us to sit, but that people were complaining. I told him I'd paid my money to see a rock concert and was not sitting at some old bag opera. He nodded and left us alone.
