"DEAF parents should be allowed to screen their embryos so they can pick a deaf child over one that has all its senses intact, according to the chief executive of the Royal National Institute for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People (RNID). " What the hell is wrong with these people?

[green]Too bad the rest of the world couldn't screen these people out early.[/green]
Seriously, WTF? Most people would rather their children have life better than they...be it weight, height, brains, etc. To want to have your children share the same handicap is moronic.

I can't imagine such a thing. When I was growing up, my best friends' (4 brothers) parents were both deaf. It was simply "the way it was", and other than a few occasional difficulties (for myself) communicating with them, the family seemed to function just like any other. That was back when technology wasn't what it is today...I agree, WTF?
