Speed TV has completely gone down the tubes, TransAM died, WRC is off the air, GrandAM became the bastard child of Nascar with their current god ugly prototypes, etc... seems as if the Nascar buyout of Speed Vision finally marked the end of the glory days for any kind of broadcast of non-white-trash racing in the states.

It's too bad their isn't some kind of good revenue stream which would be established for some kind of internet revival of Speed Vision like programming (youtube style, except with enough quality to be watchable).

There's a DTM mini-marathon on right now. 2 hours from Lausitz Ring and Brands Hatch!

Sorry but without my Dish Network DVR Speed TV would be unwatchable, I just have it programed to record F1 and all the stuff trekkor listed and watch it at my leisure. They do play a couple of hours a week of good programing... it just gets played in the afternoon or middle of the night.

BTW BBC channel has started running Top Gear.

I find TV generally unwatchable unless you have a TiVo or similar DVR.

The only reason I haven't cancelled my Direct TV subscription and chucked the TV out into the alley is because my wife likes some of the stuff on Disney channel and because I have a decent collection of DVDs and VHS recordings I indulge in from time to time. . .
