My pretty-snowy back yard.
![]() We've had record snows here in Wisconsin. Not as bad as some states even in a dry year, but a lot for us. You would also think that people in the snow belt would know how to drive in the stuff. Wrong! Instead of playing the "abc" game when we drive, we play the "guess how many fools in the ditch" game. I always underestimate. ![]() |

Did a eighteen wheeler hauling powdered sugar crash in your back yard? ![]()

Bob...
Only kidding. Unless you have been here in southern AZ, it is hard to believe the # of mountains and if you take a trip into them, they have forests like your lovely back yard. We have lots of trees, just happens they are about 18 horizontal and 1 1/2 vertical miles away!! (My house is at 2,633 elevation)

Beautiful. I miss the snow. Not the cold, just the snow.

I have been there. It's beautiful! I have spent a lot of time in the south west pretty much anywhere there are mountains. Save for the vertical, my backyard reminds me of them when it's snowy like this.

I am embarassed to say I was one of the people in the ditch.
It snowed about 7 inches and my wife wanted to run into town to pay our taxes. We debated about whether I should take the back roads (more direct but not plowed) or the hwy (10 more miles but plowed). I opted for the back roads. I was able to get us to town just fine but on the way home I was trying to make room for a Honda CRV coming from the other way. I pulled as close to the shoulder as I could but the tires caught the side of the road and pulled me torwards the ditch. I got sucked right into the ditch at about 15 mph. The snow was about 2 feet deep and the ditch was a big drop off which left the minivan sitting at a 30 degree angle. I bet I could of tipped the thing over if I lifted up on the drivers side. So much for taking the back roads and so much for being courteous. I will never try that again ![]() Speedy ![]()

It sure is pretty - or was before it started raining here.
More on the way. Used to love it. Still enjoy driving in it. Even working in it can be fun. It's the cold and dark that I like less and less. ![]()

Joe...
It's COLD here in the Old Pueblo this morning.....28 degrees. I worry about my old and huge lemon tree. Last year it took a hit (two nights in the mid teens) and hasn't had a crop this year. We do have four seasons here, just that the cold season is a bit shorter than most other places......

It sure is pretty, but I donīt like the cold. Although I would take snow before rain and wind any day.

It's not very cold here relatively speaking. We're at 31f/0c right now. I was really dreading winter this year. As I get older, my range of comfort has shrunk to somewhere between 50 and 80 degrees. That said, this has been a pretty winter with a lot of the white fluffy stuff and moderate temps. I can live with that for awhile more. It will help to break it up a couple of times with trips to the Carribean.

Yesterday morning when I got up it was 46 degrees and I was pissed!
I don't like to live where it's cold. |
