I'm weird

I don't like touching messy food.

I wasn't always this way.

Now ( as in right now ) I am eating my pizza with a knife and fork.
Earlier I ate nachos with chopsticks.

Any candy stays in the wrapper before munching.
( no melting chocolate in my hands, thank you very much )

If I want Cheetos on a road trip, they will be in a paper cup.

I work with a lot of very messy materials, which I diligently attempt to keep off my hands and clothes.

It seems the only stains on my work clothes are from lunch

If you are ever in Bloomington, I'll take you to La Bamba's for chorizo burritos.

I can't clean the seeds out of a pumpkin with my hands, just can't stand the feel. Nor do I like eating messy food with my fingers. I know I'm weird cause my wife keeps telling me I am.

Weird is good!

Some of my friends laugh at me...Their kids, too.

I don't care. I know I can always wash my hands. I don't like gritty, oily, clingy, saucy or drippy food stuff.

The other night we had a LARGE platter of King Crab legs with drawn butter. My world came crashing down.

I think I could do the cow thing no problem since you can wear a glove but that pumpkin thing is never going to happen AGAIN and since all the kids are grown no reason to be makin jack-o-laterns.

Brilliant! Thanks for the tip!

I eat Buffalo wings with a knife and fork. Tip - you can easily move a couple of notches up the hotness scale when eating wings this way. I always get the hottest possible and watch my co-eaters writhe in pain.

When I make ribs, they fall away from the bone.

Fork action.

You must boil them then.

I slow-cook them. Juicy with a hint of ham flavor, but not as tender as boiling them...

I eat ribs but I like to have a good size cloth napkin and plenty of wet-naps, usually the enjoyment outweighs the annoyance.

Are you ready?

I pour beer, orange juice, maybe some teriaki in the bottom of a rosting pan.
The ribs are rubbed with a RIDICULOUS amouint of seasonings.
I arrange the ribs so they stack on top of each other with air spaces between them.

I cover the pan with a lid or foil and bake at 250 for 4 hours.

Place them in a pan or on a plate and allow them to cool while you light up the mesquite fired BBQ.

Place the ribs on the grill, after the first turn mop on your favorite BBQ sauce.
Turn again and mop.

Don't burn the sauce.

And...Don't get any on you!

My apologies for accusing you of boiling.

I simply put mine on the barbeque pit raw (offset heat source). I add Jack Daniels pellets to the fire in a smoker box. I let them smoke for 20-30 minutes, then flip them every 30 minutes for two hours. I finish them with some Jack Daniels original BBQ sauce on the grill. The vinegar cooks off leaving a sweet, thick glaze over juicy, flavorful ribs.

How do you wrench on the P-car? No amount of diligence with cloths, wearing gloves, etc. have allowed me to come away with clean hands when working on the car.
