Yeah, Mary Beth looks better than that. Great figure too. I'm not kickin' Jackie, just sayin!

Oh and P.S. I did a quick search of "the Googles" and she is also apparently dumb as a stump too...at least for a reporter. A story relates that she didn't know what/where/who Pol Pot was nor the Khmer Rouge (sp?). Okay, so I can't spell it but at least I know what happened. Shouldn't a "general assignment reporter" sorta, kinda know some history?

Ah HAAAA! Advantage Dan. Get that TV on and start watching those women with the "too much makeup". It'll sorta "warm you up" for your GF's arrival.:D

They've been talking about it for a week, saying we should expect three strong storms with the first one hitting yesterday afternoon. It didn't.

The storm was delayed a day. Look, all I can say is it'll get down to the ohh-cee shortly. It's raining sideways here in the town that Johnny Carson built.

the "too much makeup" women so don't do it for me. And trust me, no warm up is needed. Xmas in Baja burned certain things into my RAM, so to speak. As it were. In a manner of speaking...

You watch her for news? Hmmm...

nostatic 01-04-2008 03:11 PM

there's all sorta ghey talk going on here...

not that there's anything wrong with that.

dd74 01-04-2008 03:12 PM

I'm waiting to see who sings in the rain first. Gay, ghey or otherwise.

sammyg2 01-04-2008 04:03 PM

Wife just called, she on the way home from LA. Said it's pouring there, still no rain here. Gettin ready to go out to dinner, hope my house is still here when I get back ;)

450knotOffice 01-04-2008 04:08 PM

Time to watch Jackie do her weather thing.

Porsche-O-Phile 01-04-2008 04:21 PM

+/- 40+ knots on final. Whoopee!!! That sounds fun.

(not)

Moderate to severe icing is always good for a thrill too. Be careful up there guys!

pwd72s 01-04-2008 04:28 PM

Record barometer reading here right now...28.8. Lowest my home unit has ever registered. Airguide model...and it's always close to the "official" readings given on the TV news. Ahhh, but we're used to wind & rain in Orygun...it's the poor southern californicates who don't know how to handle it.

I've made all the usual preparations for when the power goes.

This is a big system..look at that pic again. From San Diego to Seattle and beyond. East coast? We'd be talking a low pressure area from Miami to Portland, Maine...

Porsche-O-Phile 01-04-2008 04:33 PM

I have my gererator standing by. . .

nostatic 01-04-2008 04:36 PM

my generator should be here for dinner in a few hours

we're just getting the leading edge. Should be a festive night

It's getting to be no fun outside. Can't see the stripes for lanes, one guy decided that drive the wrong way in my lane on Ventura Blvd. I've been in worse, but I'm done driving for today.

450knotOffice 01-04-2008 07:01 PM

More amazing info:

The low that's driving this storm has been measured at 956 MB, which equals 28.23" Hg. This is one of the lowest readings ever taken for a non-hurricane.

To put this up for comparison with a couple of the most famous winter storms ever, the "Perfect Storm"of October, 1991 that spawned a book and a movie had a pressure of 972 MB, which equals 28.35" Hg and the "Superstorm" of March 1993 had a pressure of 960 MB, which equals 28.35" Hg.

Amazing stuff!

38 mph wind gusts and raining like the proverbial “Cow pissing on a flat rock” right now!
CA, central coast!
