Looks very nice. What are we building? I used to work with a friend who did circular staircases. Love to work with wood and wish I had more time and room to do it now.

Which Cherokee Nation? Oklahoma or Florida? I lived in Tahlequah, the HQ of the Oklahoma Cherokee for a while and really enjoyed it. Very nice people, almost married a lady there. Still wonder what happened to her...

Impressive!

I'm happy when I get something put together with square corners, much less angles and roundness...

Cool, was the display designed by a registered architect, or a display designer/interiors person?

Did you have to do shop drawings?

A scene shop is a scene shop is a scene shop... Those pictures could have easily been taken in my workplace last week. When you come right down to it, it's a lot of plywood, staples and wood glue. I exaggerate, but those are key ingredients.

I'd also reckon they paid a bundle for those pieces. Curves cost.

Nice work guys. In a past (working) life, i was a carpenter with the Adelaide Festival Centre Scenery Workshop. Here in little old Adelaide we made all the scenery for every major musical production in Australia, many of which also toured overseas. We did all the Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber shows - Cats, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Showboat, etc. Great work. Challenging and interesting, but unfortunately not consistent and the money wasnt all that great. I do miss the work though.

With a resume like that, I find it hard to believe that you weren't making some serious cash.
Unfortunately everything here in the theatre industry is contract work. The workshop i was in had only 3 permement workers and everyone else was casual, mostly through a hire company. I was there for 4 years with minimum holidays and no other work in between but you still never knew from week to week what was going on. Those weeks inbetween shows doing clean up and the like were OK for a while but . . . . . Good fun though. I met and worked with some great people. Here in Adelaide, sometimes known as the only cemetary with lights, we dont have the market for "big assed summer homes".

I can understand that. It's more fun to drive than my wife's Toyota Rav4, but the aircon isn't as good and the stereo doesnt work, so the Toyota is our every day car and the 924 gets used 2 or 3 times a week. A very under rated car I think.

I have seen a great deal of Procon's work...and he most definitely has skills...He is pretty amazing. If it has to do with construction, he can do it...or get it done...and it will be done right.

Nice work, in fact .......alot of work; I'd take pictures too!!

Good Job, that's a great trade.

One of my very best friends owns the largest millwork company in Alberta; he's done some cool stuff too. He's a great guy, your pics reminded me of him.

Check out some of his completed projects;
