				FloMax anyone?

Well, spent the morning in ER trying to shoot out another kidney stone, no luck, they gave me a big jug of Vicodin and some FloMax to help. Any of you older guys have any luck with FloMax getting things started again? Anyone? Richards maybe?

My grandfather used Flomax and got good results but it gave him a permanent runny nose...

Add a tablespoon oor so of cranberry juice extract to a gallon of water. Works like a charm.

No experience with Flomax but the Saturday Night Live parody is very funny.

cgarr, have you had the PSA test? Saw Palmetto can help reduce BPH but may mask prostate cancer so you should have the PSA done also.

No PSA test yet, only the exam where the doc takes off his watch and says this is going to hurt you a lot more than me! Maybe the test is in order since prostate cancer does run in the family.

Thanks. I guess that is an alpha-adrenoreceptorantagonist for benign prostate hypertrophy. Right?

Doc put me on it after lithotripsy didn't do the job, pieces were still too big. Left overs were out after another week or so. No side effects for me.

Well, it seems to help but no stone yet, been a painful weekend so a call to the doc tomorrow may result in another lithotripsy session. This baby just ain't moving like the other have, its only a 7mm, shouldn't be that bad..

Educate me. Do some people's systems just have a tendency to create kidney stones?
