Help! Porsche Hotwheels & Matchboxes have taken over!

What started as a few cars has got'n out of control! These have taken over one of my file cabnets at work. Our Son has a dozen at home as well. I now find myself surfing e-bay for some.

If you have one that isn't in the pic, let me know if you'd like to make a deal. Minichamps are very nice but a bit out my budget to begin a real collection. The 1:58 or around there seem to satisfy this pleasent obsession right now.

I'm kikcing myself. I had a ton of these years ago in great condition. I gave a bunch away and tossed? the rest. I went over to a friend's house and he had a 935...I recalled having one just like it in miniature. That's when I realized I wanted them back.

My son is 2 1/2. I buy them with him for $.99 at Wal-mart. I have a bunch of Caymans in different colors, a 911 Cabrio, a cup car and a GT-3 that just came out. And the "Porscha-car Van" (Cayenne). I keep them all in a cabinet in my office and he wants to play with them - he has his own!!

Only 9 watercars to date - (6) 928, (2) 944, and a lowly 924. If you have any 911+ oilcars to trade...

All I've got at my desk right now is a Hotwheels 996 GT3 Cup--still in the packaging.

If you really want some nice small scale like that do a search for "Tomica Porsche" in ebay. Tomica made all of the big Porsches over the years, but there are generally only about 6-7 different models available on ebay at any one time. I've only got about 20 small Porsches, and I collect them for the same reason you do, size and price.

Tomica 936, 956, 934, 930

Steve - those are nice. I found a few at the Dollar General a year ago. I am not sure who the mfg was - not Hotwheels, Matchbox or Johnny Lighting. They were cheap and the quality is poor (prolly have lead based paint as well) but I bet that none will be around in 10 years which will make them oh so valuable! Yep, thats what I'm investing my pocket change in - low quality toys that will someday be worth...prolly noth'n

Gotta laugh here. Evren's daughter Selma must have the largest hotwheels collection in Istanbul right now...I'm guessing well over 100, along with several hotwheels tracks. Mailed over by Cindy & I. Evren reports that Selma's boy cousins are extremely jealous. She's being groomed to become a car girl...so someday she'll be driving my old car instead of in the jumpseat!

Yeah, but when they are in the blister packs you can roll them on your desk and say "vroom, vroom"

For anyone that's interested. I'd bid on this myself, but the boss said that I couldn't.

12 small Porsches

I have a little (slightly smaller scale than Matchbox) Porsche 18-wheeler that I almost threw away the other day. Anyone want it?

I have been getting excited about the Minichamps 1/43rd scale stuff. I'm not much into collecting things, but I have two of the Minichamps Jagermeister cars (the '74 RSR and the '76 934) and think they are extremely cool.
