Going right out in the back yard with my Colts. Officers and Commander in 45 acp. Both are fun shooters. May do a little shotgun work as well, see how it goes.

I shoot most every weekend in my yard. Often .22s due to cost and time/ease of cleaning.

Ever since Targa911S sold me his POS 1903 Springfield, I've got to shoot every weekend. It is what it is.

This Sunday is paintball at the farm...three other kids and their Dad's are coming over to get at the flag.

I will look like Jackson Pollack after the day is done.

I went shooting for the first time ever yesterday and it was bloody brilliant!

We did four rounds of trap shooting with 12 ga. and then got taken down to the range to fire some .30 06 rifles (I think that's right - please correct me if not). For kicks (pun intended) I then got to try a .357 magnum with some sort of super powerful home load then a .50 calibre muzzle loaded rifle which if I was paying attention may have been a Purdey or something (?)
The good news is that I hit my first clay with my very first shot and even ended up hitting 18 out of 20 clays in the final round before handing the gun over to someone else to use the final five shots. Then my first shot with the .30 went into the target about 4 inches low and dead on center at 100 yds, which I thought was pretty good. I hit sod all with the magnum or the .50 though...

Now I want to go again!

Shoot some thing every weekend.

Shooting not just for the weekends!
In the summer we shoot something every day. Most likely but not limited to gophers.

Wish I was going shooting. Spending all my $$ on school precludes me from enjoying most all shooting activities. I get to shoot my bow a bit (usually on weekends) but since all my arrows are trashed and a new ones are $120/dozen...Went trap shooting this past Sunday with my 870 Express Mag, and it was a hoot. I couldn't seem to hit for ****, but it was a blast. 115 shells later I was on my way home. You don't want to know how many clays I hit out of that

It's funny, even when you suck at it, trap is addicting. I can't wait to go again! Since I only had to buy shells, at $20/100, it was cheap fun. If I wanted to take the .243 or .270 out for a day of shooting and knock off 100 rounds, I'd have been sitting at the reloading bench for awhile cooking up my custom loads and getting all anal about it. Somehow I feel it would have also been more expensive (Nosler ballistic tips aren't cheap...) but I can't prove it.

Maybe I should join the Trap and Skeet club @UK...hmm...

Possibly. I have been shopping for the new SIG 556 rifle and my neighbor just got one. But he can't let his wife see it, so we have to see if we can sneak over to the NRA Range without her seeing anything other than pistol bags. I have a lot of .223 I need to shoot off before I move and want to save it for my next rifle.

I need to clean all my guns before I go shooting. They are pretty gummy at the moment.

Last week I shot four games of trap, and sighted in my 10/22 and the slug barrel for my 870. I took a few shots out of my Savage 93R for fun.

Today, I hit the indoor range with my Glock and Mark II.

BTW, I hit Wal-Mart afterwords to buy a few of those 4-packs of shells. They were $15 a few weeks ago. I just about $h!t myself. THEY'RE $23 F***ING DOLLARS NOW! That's a 50% price increase!

Shoots like a dream, Dave. We're out to about 150 yards with great results. I set up clay pigeons as targets and Jack is running about 4 out of 5
