Did you used to work for OI? We build prototype stuff for them on occasion at the special machine design/build house I work for.

The funny thing is I'll do 40-50 mile casual Saturday afternoon rides on my 40lb Electra with ape hangers and I'll get condescending comments from roadies like "I don't see how you can ride that thing 50 miles, it's so heavy" or "that can't be comfortable to ride". I always reply with "imagine what I could do with a 18lb bike".
