Wouldn't it be hilarious if the Packers lucked out and won the Super Bowl and then the Packer record would be 16-3 and two of those losses would have been to da Bears?

Lovie's job might be safe forever! He did say at the press conference after they hired him that his main priority was beating the Packers, and............................................... .....:)

8 am flight tomorrow morning to my beloved home town/state...

I'm fully winterized with the following layers planned:

1) Base layer top and bottom of "under armour" type moisture wicking fabric
2) Bottom, base layer then, standard cotton long johns then jeans
3) Top, long sleeved t-shirt over the under armour, sweatshirt, long scarf, down parka
4) Feet, thin cotton socks, thermal socks, boots
5) Head, underarmour beanie, packers knit hat, plus possible head/ear band
6) Hands, thinish under layer synthetic gloves, down mittens

Under are butts and feet will be construction type insulation.

So Wisconsinites does this sound adequate?

Lucky dog!

Those hand warmers and heat reflective seat cushions that hunters use are the trick.

I would bring some Carhart insulated bibs if you have them. If not, some of those cheap insulated snow pants. These will be the difference between a good time and hypothermia.

Here's my Wisconsin recipe for warmth if I spend time outdoors and I'm not going to sweat- cotton thermals, cotton turtle neck, jeans, heavy wool sweater, insulated Carharts, thick wool socks, Heavy Down coat with down hood, wool hat, two pairs of gloves (one pair warming inside jacket, other on hands - switch as needed), cashmere scarf, face mask if below zero or windy, Sorel boots. Keep about 6 heat packs in your pocket and a pint of 16 year old Lagavulin in an inside pocket. There is not one thing on this list I would sell for $500 when I'm out there. It gets cooooold.

I was waiting for that reply

The Bears need a quarterback and a running back.

In all honesty, I am rooting for the Packers this weekend, so that they can lose to the Pats in the superbowl.

C'mon Garrett - don't give in so easily. We have to keep that legendary rivalry going! :)

I lived in Chicago during the McMahon years. It was great. I was a Bears and Packer fan. Talk about a traitor! I always had to root for the Pack when the two teams met though.

E N V Y. I'd take that game over the Superbowl. I would love to experience a Packers game, and suffering in those conditions somehow just adds to the experience.

The one thing that I recall wishing that we had brought for a Dec. game at Lambeau was something BIG and WARM to sit on. This was quite a few years back. We had all of the above supplies you mention but those damn aluminum seats transfer the cold better than any material known to man!

However, when we went to the S.D. game this season we had seats in one of the sky boxes and the damn temp was about 70.

Enjoy.

Wow. I just noticed your ticket and you are sitting in probably THE coldest part of Lambeau Field. That end zone is the only portion of the stadium that does not have the indoor Club Seats above it. You might see the extra point and field goal kicks do some strange gyrating!

But enjoy.

I'm back

Well I survived, cold as I have ever been in my life! Wow, 4.5 hours in the -2 degree temps is just absolutely brutal. Game was a ton of fun, for the Packer fans amongst us not the result we were looking for but for me it was just amazing to be there.

Pic from my seats.

Pic of me fully geared up to come later.
