I propose we form the "Pelican Party" and run one of our own. I would then have no problem with 911 being constantly thrown in our collective faces :).

If he's using 9/11 there's a reason.

He's a good politician. I don't think he cares what voters in Idaho or Mississippi care at the moment. I consider him a political winner that considers taking beatings for his issues as just another bump. Those who are on the other end of his policy wins are pissed off. Especially in a place like NYC.

Managing the city is worse than managing the Balkans. It's like herding cats. The cats aren't so much independent as they always fight among themselves.

Port Authority, NYPD, and NYFD have been among the biggest cats for many years. They are independents always fighting among themselves. Not unusual to see a PA cop giving a ticket to a NYPD cop car.

If anyone wants to see wild political power in a bureauracy investigate the PA. Even the governor of NY or NJ can't screw with them.

No thank you...I don't have the stomach for it, and I like to sleep well at night :). But if ya want to hear (a) 911, I can produce the sound clip.
