Someone please explain? Apparently, it's not red...?

What ever happened to REAL colors, like Red, Green, and Blue????????

Nope, apparently it is some color. See, this is the kind of thing that pisses me off. Guys are like Windows, 16 default colors. Peach, for example, is NOT a color. Pumpkin, likewise, is not a color. Sea Salt Green? WTF?

A bunch of crap, that's what this is. Chartreuse. Bah...

(Although, I could go for a glass of wine now...)

I thought it was a limey green? They also have a liquer by that name....

I always tell my wife that the only two-syllable colors I know are yellow and purple.

It's pretty much a lime or yellowish green.

It's like an electric lime-green. (Best description I can manage). It was immortalised in Tom Woolfe's awesome book about the crazy SoCal custom car culture of the 1960s, "The candy-colored tangerine flake streamlined baby"...

The 1974 Carrera on the cover of Car & Driver when Mark Donahue tested the '74 911s was Chartreuse w/ Carrera stripes. Factory color.

For a minute I was thinking about Ken Kesey and some other 60's Cal culture.

Piss yellow.....

One of my neighbors is seriously into tailgating. He and a bunch of buddies shotgun beer, every 1/2 hour, starting 4 hours before game time. Since Houston sucks, most of our games start at noon. Yep, they start at 8am on home game days.

Anyway, they are now sponsored by Miller-lite. They get between 50 and 200 people shotgunning beer every 1/2 hour. Miller gives them about 40 cases a week, now.

When I went to visit my friend that goes to Indiana University I got to experience their tailgating. We were there at 7am for the 1pm game for his fraternity tailgate. We had about 50- 30 racks of Keystone Light, among the broad assortment of liquor...we didn't even make it into the game until halftime.

And that 7am start was following us passing out at about 5am the night before...I love football and tailgating...unfortunately Miami University is not a big sports school

Garret, it just sounds like your dying to come on down to an SEC school. We know how to tailgate...

You should come to Lexington for a game...We have couches set on fire in the streets, houses condemned, mass fights...The Lexington PD bought another helicopter to patrol State Street (the party street) and radio in any parties/fights/etc. Doesn't seem to deter anyone, Sig Ep has gotten busted a few times already this semester..about once a week. We have yet to get busted, but, ya know, gotta run out sometime...

How the hell do you get sponsored by a beer company? Time to call the Coors Light people!

For sure man, definitely. The chapter will be getting smaller because a lot of guys are graduating, but we'll be picking up new pledges and what not....so I'm sure we'll still be able to put something decent on:) Drop me a PM or email whenever you feel like coming down...

No, that's a picture of R&T. C&D had Donahue test them and put that same Carrera on the cover alone. It looks like those were the "press cars" from Porsche that fall. :cool:
