My wife and I just got back from there after a week of being down there.

You guys have got some heavy traffic, that's for sure. Howevewr, your roads seems to be better kept, and traffic doesn't slow to a crawl when you've got more than three people in the same quarter mile stretch. We spent the majority of the week tooling between Anaheim, San Diego, and Tejon Pass at around 80mph with people passing us. The only times we slowed to a crawl was right around the 6-7pm mark, while in Seattle...it's ALWAYS a crawl these days.

Back in college I entered the freeway on my Honda Intercepter and sped up to about 80. Then some old guy in uniform on a Harley without a helmet (I was dressed head to toe in gear) chased me down and motioned for me to slow it down, so I did. Then I got thinking about it, "who was this guy that told me slow down that was going faster than me without a helmet?"

Luckily I saw the guy at a grocery store a few weeks later. Turns out he was some sort of federal marshall or something. I read him the riot act in the parking lot and he just stood there dumb founded and never said a word :D.
