Will I get my Pelican membership revoked? TBSS beware

How about a new car? After the decision to unload the 911 occured, I figured I needed to shake up things some more - put my 2002 s-10 truck on contract to my buddie's16 Y/O kid, and decided I was sick of my E39 - I was craving to go back to my domestic (GM) roots. I culled the herd.

On the BMW, I just hit 100K on it, and I was sweating all the the little things that are gonna get you - that and it's losing it's value daily I decided to go with something with a bit less miles and for once, something a bit different.

Enter the 2007 Trailblazer SS - $29K with all options except Nav - only has 4800 miles and immaculate.

That should feed my craving for strange for awhile this thing is a 395HP rocket.

Nothing like a driveway makeover now and then...

Well it's black, it's sort of a wagon, but there's No audi badge on the front, so you're probably in the clear.

I just realized I'm a GM guy again all of a sudden. Maybe I'll put a Porsche crest on the front

Anyone know who's got the best deals on those boy pissing on Ford logo stickers?

I hate the Trailblazer, but for $29k, that's hard to pass up.

It's got some stones on it. Frankly, I'm tired of riding lowered around Seattle. I can't explain the amount of times I've scraped the Bimmer, or knocked the nose on it.

The miles are nonexistent on this thing so I have a long, long warranty left. Bose sound, leather, roof it's a good cruiser. I just like the lines.

Normal TB is kind of ugly, I'll admit to that. At this price it was so under book I couldn't pass it up.

Vette motor, all-wheel-drive, real-world comfort and utility, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, $10K+ less than sticker with only a couple months worth of miles..... no brainer.

I have to say, the TBSS turns my head. Standard TB just turns my stomach. No doubt it's silly fun to drive with that much power.

I can see the attraction for these cars. We are going through a power craze right now. My neighbor has this one, always nice to hear it roar in the morning.

It just dawned on me that my A3 is lava grey, and most people think it is black. And its a 4-door hatchback. OMG, I drive a black audi wagon

btw, this isn't my car

Actually, the Audi dealer was the next stop on the list if the TBSS wasn't what I wanted. I wanted a wagon like Todd's.

I will admit I was pretty negative in the BMW due to the huge miles I racked up. Nothing my checkbook couldn't fix Thank god for economic fear right now. The dealer had it on the lot since August and discounted it 3x before I came in. I paid through the nose thanks to the mileage on my rig, but I had to bite the bullet otherwise be stuck paying interest on it.

I haven't been this excited in a long time over a car the last time I actually got sleepless (like last night) was when I got my 911. Unfortunately it's on it's way to a new home in NC..

I've been out buying Chevy branded logo items for it all day. Got the special chrome license plate frame on it. Next is the Borla exhaust.

Speed limiter kicks in at 130 - the thing falls flat on it's face. I think it kills the spark and fuel. I'm afraid to really rail it, according to the TB forums it's pretty common to have the trannys literally explode.

I'm probably going to lower it an inch, and add a borla muffler and some bits and pieces and just roll it.

I'll take it to the dragstrip when it opens - should be right on 14.0 in the quarter.

Looks very nice and I would not mind trading in my old Grand Cherokee for that one, but you are trotting a fine line here.

If you are ok with the car being worth about $15K in a year or so....then buy it!

Borla mufflers......drool......... Having heard Corvettes with similar systems, the TBSS should be pure sex. Does it need lowered? The few that I have seen look to sit pretty well. Also, my opinion, lose the running boards. Those are for lifted off-road SUVs, not wanna-be sports cars.

Exactly what I was thinking - I'm just trying to cool off a bit before I take a wrench to it, otherwise I'll be broke.

Gotta wait until the new car buzz wears off!

I'll just drop it 1" - that's great / conservative considering what I consider "dropped"
