I'm not a pot smoker. Never have been. But I love the fact that these guys are going to give the Feds a little anxiety.

BRPORSCHE 01-30-2008 08:51 AM

Love the 2pac poster in this 'doctors' office. Jeez what a farce.

I wonder if the smart "dealers" will set up shop nearby. You know, for competition and all. Free market. :)

ZAMIRZ 01-30-2008 09:27 AM

The dude's persian, hell yeah!

TyFenn 01-30-2008 09:31 AM

P-O-P,

Not that I know or anything but I heard the stores are killing the 'other people's' margin so it's pretty tough to compete at the retail level.

odd.

a vending machine - brilliant.

SlowToady 01-30-2008 10:15 AM

Sure they will. But it's not pot that they'll be selling...

In the words of Kat Williams:

"If you've been sellin' weed since 1994, and you ain't moved up to cocaine by at least 2006...maybe you should be a Jehovah's Witness or a Real Estate Agent or something..."

OK but really...how the FSCK do they get away with this??! Last I heard, pot was a DEA Schedule III Drug....meaning, according to the US Fed. Govt., it has no recognized medical purposes and should therefore carry the highest penalty. Keep in mind that cocaine has real medical uses, and is a Schedule I or II drug...

If it's grown and distributed within the borders of California, then by law the Federal Gubmint should have no jurisdiction whatsoever. I would love to see California beat the Feds into a retreat on this one. They have the legal upper hand. Of course the Feds have more money (like mine) to fight with, and they don't like to give up in a states' rights battle.

Good on 'em. I wish the dude success, it 'bout time!
Let the pot smokers smoke their pot, it's no crime imo.
Never was.

I have Glaucoma...I have to ask the doc for one of those prescriptions. ;)

72doug2,2S 01-30-2008 12:18 PM

What happened to States' Rights? If the Fed doesn't like the California law, then perhaps they can withhold some highway dollars, but they are overstepping their authority by any other means.

HardDrive 01-30-2008 12:33 PM

The federal governments oppositon to marijuana, for medical purposes or for pleasure, is a pathetic embarassment.

Big pharma and big booze enforcing their rackets with thinly veiled payoffs.

Pathetic.

I hope California becomes much more agressive in defending their states rights.

KFC911 01-30-2008 12:42 PM

I wonder if one could place "candy machines" adjacent to theirs...one could get filthy rich on those 75 cent items and avoid the fed hassles to boot :).

azasadny 01-30-2008 12:58 PM

Did anyone see the episode of "Curb your Enthusiasm" where Larry David buys a bag of weed for his father's glaucoma?

That's fine...we'll withhold federal tax dollars. I think CA pays more than it gets in return.

Call it, "Got the Munchies?"

I think we've got a money maker.

911Rob 01-30-2008 01:29 PM

CA should separate!

What if we were to mark up the candy 100% more, and call them "Medical Munchies"...I like the way you're thinkin'!

Dont smoke...but i did it a lot between 18-20...always brought me down though...made me dark and pessimistic so it was not much fun.

Others enjoy it much mor....as long as
the guy flying the airplane, doing the surgery, driving the bus/taxi/train
etc. is not stoned. Yeah it does affect depth perceptions etc....
