I'm really sorry that I started this thread.

I assumed that using people with Down's as they were in this attack was so low that everyone would be appalled.

I share your post 9/11 rage, but we picked a target that had nothing at all to do with 9/11. The perpetrators were Saudis. The mastermind was Saudi. We chased Bin Laden from Afghanistan into Pakistan then inexplicably, WE STOPPED.

Any terrorist bombing is an amoral, reprehensible act. The murder of unsuspecting people with Down syndrome is unthinkable.

Our outrage at terrorism does not justify the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation. Period.

Those on "The Right" have resorted to name calling, distorted facts, obtuse histories, and best of all, talking about someone's wife and daughter and their acumen toward fellatio. Appalling!

This is why Hillary or Obama need to win the election. The Bush apologists have to truly be stripped of power/influence, thrown away and remembered at most as just a poor 8-year lapse of reason within America's history.

BTW, I think everybody is glad that the surge and new leadership had some effect on the cluster flock that has been going on in Iraq .

I believe that most Americans do not want to leave Iraq as a total mess. A total mess that would have been avoidable, and that we will be paying for.

Kind of like restoring a Porsche Bass ackward. Real expensive, with dubious results that will be more costly to fix a second or third time.

Exactly how long did it take to win WW2 as compared to the hundred year war that some are predicting for the ME region ?

I'm not appalled. I doubt that most are. Sure, many want SAY that they are so caring. . bla bla bla... that they damn near fainted from the shock and horror of the thought. But really, they are likely just a (little) bit surprised that this news is being reported.

My first thought (believing this news) was; wow, that is desperate.
My second thought (questioning this news); that is a great thing to say that about those using 'suicide' bombers. --as it completely undermines their bravery.

a few of you guys are very close to being banned. And that would be Racerbvd and WI WideBody since they don't seem to understand the line between poking fun and vicious name-calling. Especially when you bring someone's family into it. I suggest you both take a few days off...
