Help: Need eyes in Seattle and Houston to recon a used BMW
Anyone up for for looking at a used BMW for me in Seattle? Also one in Houston. Before I go much further with the idea of the car(s), I wanted to get an unbiased opinion of the car.
Nothing to fancy, just a visual and audio inspection (what's worn, broken, not working....does it sound right, etc). Maybe even a test drive. I'll make it worth your time...I'll try. |

I'd be happy to help in Houston as well.
I could use a field trip. |

If the car is indeed here in Seattle, I might be able to help out. Farther out might be difficult, but there are Pelicans all over the area.
PM me.

Memorial is a road, not an area. Saying "just off memorial" puts you somewhere along a 30 mile road. Get a cross street and we'll find one of us to help.

The Houston one is near Memorial and (?) Briar Bedford? Does that ring a bell? I was driving and trying to remember the intersection. The seller has a shop and operates 730-6pm M-F, but can meet someone at the shop on Sat at an arranged time. It's too late to call back, but I'll have better info tomorrow.

Briar Forest is parallel to Memorial, about 1 mile south.
Dairy Ashford? Eldridge? Gessner? Highway 6? Bunker Hill? Campbell? Ring a bell?

Bob,
I'm expecting a bunch more info and pix from the dealer tomorrow, but here is the address: 1414 NW Leary Way Seattle, WA 98107 I'm going to contact "britwrench" who John Walker recommmended. The seller said he'd drive the vehicle to a shop for me. So if you're bore and want to test drive a car, a second opinion is always good. I'm hoping the one in Houston is what I expect it to be as that may be my first choice....but I like options. |

Britwrench is at Gerber Motorsport; a respected shop in the area. Ronin works there as well. Between the two of them, they will pick the car apart for you.
![]() I'm not familiar with that shop. It is close to my house, but I haven't been there before. Which car are you interested in?

I had my 911 inspected there when I was selling it. I felt they were fair and thorough in their assessment.

Souk - Leary Way is in the NW part of Seattle and a lot closer for Scooter or Hardrive. Gerber's will do a great job for you. If you pass on the Houston one and need someone to test drive or send you photo's, I can do that. I did it fora Pelican once in Saskatoon, he had photo's in hand within 3 hrs of his 1st post......
Did I sell you some new Blistien inserts 2 yrs ago????
