Republican Debate:

I can't believe that McCain is leading the polls. He's nuttier than a squirrel turd. He's crazier than a dog with five dicks. I cannot believe that such a large number of Americans are willing to fall for dumb slogans, etc...

NOTE: Romney just started horse-laughing at McCain uncontrollably. Romney looks like a movie star. If we're going to have a stuffed shirt in the WH, might as well have the best-looking one. Plus, he actually talked about deporting illegals. Time to get a Romney bumper sticker.

THe media likes McCain, because they like Obama. This will be Bob Dole all over again.

...even tho Rasmussen says McCain beats Obama (or Rodham-Clitn) http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/john_mccain_match_ups/election_2008_mccain_vs_clinton_and_obama

Yeah, Time to get a Romney bumper sticker.

I think either McCain or Romney would CERTAINLY beat Hillary in a national election.

Against Obama, tougher call, but I think either still wins in a national.

If you're getting your Romney bumper stickers, better get them soon. McCain is getting a lot of momentum and endorsements (Arnie endorsement in Cal coming tomorrow), and this thing could be all but over by Tuesday night.

you know, there were 5 minutes in the debate (I came in sometime in the middle) where they sounded like good candidates. the last half hour to hour...high school, 2nd grade. what a buncha dorks!

from the Romney-McCain pussy-slapfest to Huck complaining about talk time to Ron Paul being the most rational of the bunch (ragging on Romney-McCain he said/she said), none of these dickwads were even close to being Presidential.

a new low in our electoral history.

And it's just as bad on the other side. Hillary is pure evil and my dog has more experience than Obama. She is black too though, so she's got that goin forer.

I have this cold sinking feeling in my gut that she is going to win the election. Oh gawd, I think I have to run to the bathroom and hurl.

I was thinking that the right would be pushing for Clinton.
She's shown that her former push for national health care could be bought off with a few million from the AMA lobby. And she voted for Iwreck.

The odd thing is the Clintons aren't that liberal--at least in the traditional sense. Clinton governed as a centrist as President--balancing the budget. Hillary worked for Goldwater in the '64 elections, and was always friends with Barry. Goldwater disliked all the right wing hate--largely groundless-that has been directed at the Clintons. He told them to get off their backs. Not discounting Bill's reckless personal behavior.

I think a lot of people on the right hung up on "values" concerns are slowly coming to realize the government isn't about to do anything about them. Stick with issues that affect your pocketbook. That's where they can kill you--or help you.

Hey pundit, when all the Dem candidate propose raising taxes on the "rich" so they can give freebies to the poor, how does that benefit us? I'm still finishing college, but my current income is knocking on the door of "rich" as defined by Hillary. Robin Hood was a nice fairy tale, but not so good in real life.

Also scared of McCain. If elected...do we get the current McCain and his fairly conservative stance on most issues...or the liberal buffoon we have put up with for many years?

"Let's face it, the Republican party screwed up royally with GWB, why stop there?"

It is quite possible that Bush has effectively destroyed the modern Republican party - by modern, I mean the coalition that Reagan assembled (Nixon tried - his 'southern strategy').

We'll have to see.

The distance among all the 4 main candidates is not all that far - no matter what party.

It sure doesn't look good for Romney - even tho he's got the best experience at managing anything in the whole bunch.

I expect that Romney will take most of Huckbee's percentage.

Didn’t know open disdain and dislike for cops and the military were centrist positions.

My wife told me this Morning that

McCain reminds you of someone you'd drink a Beer with
Romney reminds you of the guy who is about to lay you off.

I thought you might have some lucid thoughts about these races, but that does not appear to be the case. Divisiveness has turned politics on its ear recently, and allowed a fruitcake to succeed, but the process will return to the classic strategy of capturing the center of the board. Like in Chess. A wild-eyed conservative would be wonderful, since it would give the Democrats a chance. McCain is by FAR the biggest danger to the Democratic bid. The Dems are bent on losing, and the only chance I think they have is against a Romney or Huckabee. Against a centrist like McCain, neither a black nor a woman is going to win.

But of course, if you want more anarchy and inefficiency, if you want gubmit run by gubmit-haters, if you want leaders whose policies are opposed by a LARGE proportion of Americans, then just keep wishing for another ultra-conservative. But again, be aware that if you get your wish, Americans will get a clear choice and you will be disappointed by their decision.

the experience issue with obama always annoys me.... really, what experience do any of them have? they are governors or senators, that's it. hillary probably has the least, unless you count her terms as 'vice president' with her philandering husband. can someone explain the claim that obama doesn't have experience?

that said, ABC!

and the "hitlary" statement cracked me up!

The guest on C-Span this morning said that every primary/caucus so far has seen a doubling of the number of people pulling the "D" lever (including red states and Florida which had no campaigning). John Kerry winning Iowa 2004 would of came in 4th with the same number of delegates in 2008.

The only reason the mainstream press has not been reporting this is simple. Ever go to a football game? When the home team is blowing away the other team half the stadium leaves at hal-time. A "no contest", contest has fewer spectators. The media wants to sell a contest, a close battle.................but it's going to be a blow out.
