Nissan GTR Road Trip

Interesting piece, nearly 3000 miles in a GTR with track time and speeding tickets. It also states that Edmunds is buying one for a long term evaluation. I'll be very interested to see if the Japanese reputation for reliability extends to supercars as well.

After renting an M35 for the weekend I am very disappointed with Nissan. The car had 2000 miles on it and the wipers didn't work properly, the power outlet/cigarette lighter didn't work, the sunroof didn't function properly and gauges (although very pretty to look at) were not very well placed. There are approximately 17 ways to turn on and off the radio, none of them very clear and I was always looking all over the dash for the information I wanted to see. Don't get me wrong it was a nice car and drove well, but I don't think Nissan is in the same class for build quality as Honda and VW/Audi for ergonomics.
That being said the new GT-R is hot!!!!!!!
