Superbowl Poll - The REAL One!

I screwed up the first poll.

Tonight's line is Patriots -12 (Pats need to win by more than this to "cover") depending on source.

Poll should be self explanatory.

Best,

Kurt

edit: I voted win and cover.

Steve Carlton 02-02-2008 08:25 PM

I vote "don't cover."

Porsche-O-Phile 02-02-2008 09:06 PM

I think this is going to be a blowout. Pats by 21.

porsche4life 02-02-2008 09:25 PM

Giants better win b/c if they dont i have to shave my legs.:eek::eek:

Sonic dB 02-02-2008 11:54 PM

Tom Brady is the difference.

He is the Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky and Tiger Woods of Football.
Pats should/will win this one by 10+ points, though the Giants will definately show up and
put up a fight.

It all depends on how much is on the tape. If the Pats film guy got some decent footage, I think they have a shot to win the game. If he didn't, Giants win.

This will be the first game we've watched all year. I see the Giants as over-acheivers, NE should score a bunch of points.

jim the good games are over; you need to tune in during playoffs when the players are making a reasonable effort.

Joe Bob 02-03-2008 04:38 AM

I dont' care...I'm in a pool and just need
NFC 4, 1 or 0
AFC 1, 9 or 7 after each quarter....

Pats by 21

Porsche-O-Phile 02-03-2008 05:18 AM

The Patriots are going to kill 'em. I've been saying they have what it takes to go 19-0 since about week four of this season. Today they have a chance to prove it to all the knuckleheads and haterz who said stuff like "they'll be a 'one-and-done' team", "they'll get beaten by Dallas/Indy/San Diego/whoever".

Love the Patriots or hate them, they are good for the game and they're on the cusp of history here. It ain't over until the fat lady sings and I don't want to jinx them, but I have the distinct feeling that I'll be celebrating bigtime in Glendale Arizona in a few hours (getting ready to leave now).

I'll drink a toast to all the haters as Bill Bellichick hoists the Vince Lombardi trophy. May you all have a very, very long off-season to wallow in your misery and laughable wrongness of prediction. And may you finally come to appreciate the greatness of a quality team - possibly the best one to ever suit up. :)

Nineteen and Oh. Boo-yah.

Here it comes.

Pats absolutely roll here. Eli's lob to Buress (otherwise known as their whole offensive plan)gets stopped and hence they have no offense.

Pats 41-13

Yes I'm serious.

lendaddy 02-03-2008 05:49 AM

I love that the media and public are behind the Giants, I expected the spread to go to 14 when it opened at 12.5 but it's actually gone down. Fade the public on big games.

hytem 02-03-2008 06:28 AM

Seems like the mediots are out to get the Patriots. Shame on the mediots. And too bad for the Giants. They are caught in the middle. On paper, the Patriots are about 12 points better. That's if it's snowing and the wind is blowing 40 mph. LOL. Not in Arizona.

stomachmonkey 02-03-2008 06:30 AM

Was in Vegas week before last.

Shoulda take some action on the spread.

Don't think Pats will cover.

deathpunk dan 02-03-2008 08:10 AM

people still talking about 'filming' 'cheatriots' 'spygate' etc should DIAF.

TerryH 02-03-2008 08:26 AM

Yawn.. is it over yet? :P

This has all the makings for the worst SB ever. If it wasn't for the party atmosphere, entertaining commercials, intermission nipple shots, and the championship on the line, most SB's would be turned off at half-time. Ironically, I'll be Tivo'ing through the boredom just to get to the best part of the show.... the commercials. :)

I hope it's a close contest. Overtime would be even better. No money on it, no pools, no real preference on the outcome. Rooting for the underdogs, but probably in vain.

RickM 02-03-2008 08:52 AM

Go Giants!

Mule 02-03-2008 09:28 AM

Pats 3 wins are by a combined 9 points. Strahan, Umenyora, Madison and Webster could ruin the antichrist's plans.

Drew001 02-03-2008 09:42 AM

I'm no Patriots fan and certainly not a Giants fan, but the Pats will annihilate the G-men today.

Eli's a pretender.
The Giants defense is very good, but Eli will lose this game for them.
