Once upon a time I had pipes that looked like that. They started to develop leaks mid pipe like yours. I fixed the first 5 or 6 then ripped all that schite and put in plastic never fixed another leak. I like the idea of copper better however with the water from my well it was not going to stop. The plastic is super easy- kind of like making a model car
