Really?

Look at it closely, trust your eyes.

Then notice the Fred Lewis Copyright.

When the poster says it's a day late April Fools, I think you should take their word of it - just say'n.

I liked the fake drag car photos, well done compared to the fake 917 stuff.

Somehow a dune buggy is on the race track at the same time as a Porsche 917 is real, now that blows my mind. :D

A composite photo showing the Deserter GS Volkswagen going into turn three at Daytona trailed by the Gulf training 917K. The accident would happen on the infield dog-leg between turns four and five. (Lou Galanos photo)
It was a real event, but composite photo put together to tell the story of a crash between a dune buggy and a Porsche 917.

Just an example of when people take the time to clarify their intent in a professional manner.

The guy making these fake 917 photos is a friend of mine. He is also the writer of the article in Sports Car Digest, Lou Galanos. He's been doing it for years on 4/1. These pics show up on other forums and guys swear they are real. All in good fun for Lou.

P34's basic concept was to use a tyre that would be small enough to fit entirely behind the wing. This would have two effects; one would be to lower overall drag and thus improve speed on straights, and the other was to clean up overall aerodynamics so the rear wing would receive cleaner airflow.[2]
