Satecmo Eolia 1954
André George Claude was an engineer, who decided to devote his time in designing and building a high performance French car. The Berlinetta style body was designed by Eiffel and was made out of magnesium with Claudes company Satecmo, building the car and mounting the 4-cyl 850cc engine from a Renault 4CV centrally in the rear of the car, mated to a 5-speed transmission of his own design. Access to the engine compartment was provided by opening rear quarter panels. Interestingly, the steering wheel was located on the right hand side as this was Claude's preferred option for driving. The engine in 1960 was later to be replaced by a tuned engine from a Renault Dauphine Gordini.
