Worked in Chevy/Pontiac dealership in HS. Loved the IMSA Monzas but the street cars were a disappointment. I recall taking a door off one for a hinge repair and it weighed a TON (as did 70's Camaro doors). My recollection is that these things (and Monte Carlos) consumed hinges and hinge pins regularly.

Had a friend with a V-8 Monza. It would SMOKE the rear tires. Great car for a 17 yo kid. ;)

I bought this new in 77. 305, 4 speed. Spyder, graphics delete. Fun car for a couple years but I had the Corvette fever so it had to go. I do not have a scanner so I took a pic of pics.:D

It's cool that back in the day the car was obviously used. When was the last time you saw a car like that with scratched up front spoiler and dented licence plate. A badge of honor. I remember being on a high school trip to Paris in 1984 and seeing a metallic brown Countach parked on the street with a smashed up front fender. |

You can find some interesting cars parked in the garage of the Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island this weekend.
