Ya that sounds terrible. I bet it's horrific from about 3K RPM to redline. Who ever came up with getting a mountain of reliable HP and torque from a compact engine definitely failed with the LS.

I'm not dissing the engine, i'm dissing the exhaust.
the thing barely idles which , for a street car is quite the pain in the neck
no drivability..
I can appreciate that race cars don't need idle.. they just set em at 2000 rmp and for the most part they don't need much midrange.. WOT WOT WOT is plenty good for them.
And the exhaust note at WOT sounds good for most cars, because well, it's LOUD
but this isnt' a race car, it's a street car, that barely runs
and you just cannot do much WOT on the street.. not if you wanna keep your drivers license.. so if the engine can't idle.. has chitty midrange.. and only sounds good at loose your license driving..
at that point i call it a failure.

To be honest I think the whole thing is more about looks than actually driving. A local guy did the same intake on his LS and really fought with it. Just could not get it to idle. All those individual throttle bodies look cool but I do not think they work that well.

Agreed, looks above everything.
basically single stack in and single exhaust out, its like running 8 single cylinder engines on a shared crank instead of optimizing the intake and exhaust for optimal pumping velocities.
And no backpressure at all, It can't run smooth over a wide power band
