Windy on WY 258 this morning
Truck driver appeared to be OK, wind was gusting about 40-50 mph, semi was blown off the road and came to a stop about 300 yards north of the highway. This pond has about four to six feet of water in it in the spring and summer. He is lucky it was dry this time across.

I walked around a B-17 at my leisure one day. It was in a hanger parked under the horizontal stab of a 747.....with lots of clearance.
Around & around I wandered while considering the thing. I concluded that the men that flew them in combat were men of the highest sort. About the only thing to even slow down a rifle caliber slug would be a warm body. *Maybe* if I were still young and immortal I'd have joined them, but I doubt it. |
